Acer Laptop 5553 Screen Fainter?
I got my Laptop less than a year ago and over night the screen seems to be fainter then usual and not as bright, does it need replacing or is it something I can do on the screen settings, help is much appreciated

My laptop will connect to wireless network but not the internet. Help?
I have an ACER laptop with WINDOWS 7 Proffesional browsing using default IE and Googlechrome. For security I have Microsoft Security Essentials. I started it up this morning working completely fine, but when I was a away it died so I plugged it in and started it back up, but now when it was connecting to my home's wireless router it would identify the router, get full signal, but will NOT connect to the internet. So far I have restarted my laptop and reset my router and even connected to other routers, but am always left with no internet and in my Network Center status it says "Identifying" but that hasnt changed for hours. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my Security software, Started up in all three safe modes, and system restored it, but with no luck. How should I go about fixing this?

What do I do with this broken laptop?
My Acer laptop that I had for 4 years broke. It still turns on, but the screen doesn't turn on, it's completely black. When I turn on the laptop it still makes sounds.... I don't know what to do with it.... I don't want to throw it away, and I don't want to take it to get repaired because it would be a waste of money, I just bought a new laptop. I never really saved any pictures or files on the Acer. Is it possible for someone to get my information from the Acer if I get rid of it? What are my options? Am I able to remove the hard drive myself? Also, if I remove the hard drive, what do I do with the laptop?
